On day 1, a private transport will take us from Santa Marta to the starting point of the trip, which will take around 2 hours and a half. After enjoying a nice lunch, we will start our 4 hours trek In El Mamey. Don´t forget to take sun cream, repellent for insects and water with you. After a long day, you will spend the night in hammocks near a creek.


On day 2, we will be hiking for about 4 hours before meeting people from the Kogi tribe, a well-known indigenous group of the Sierra Nevada. . We will cross the Buritaca river many times, so refresh yourself by having a nice swim in it on the way. The dense jungle will get your attention from the start, so don´t miss the chance to take great pictures of the trip.


On day 3, we will arrive at Ciudad Perdida (The Lost City), an ancient place built around the 7th century. To get the most out of the visit, we will have a local guide that will explain the history about this mysterious place.

DAY 4 & 5

The 4th and 5th day we will be walking back to the camp and to El Mamey. Long and adventurous treks on the go to keep enjoying the fantastic scenario. Our private transport will be waiting for us to go back to Santa Marta, where you can enjoy the night in a very comfortable hotel to recover for the long walking hours.
