Enjoy a delicious Colombian coffee with our traveler´s experts.

DAY 1 BOGOTA

On the first day of this trip, we will spend some time discovering the charm and history of the center of the capital city of Colombia. It will start by using the public transport system to go to “La Candelaria”, a historic neighborhood. The starting point of the walking tour is “Plaza de Bolivar”, from which we will take some time walking around while admiring the colonial architecture, beautiful 17th and 18th century churches and 300 year old restored houses. The next stop will be Fernando Botero´s museum, the Colombia´s most famous painter and sculptor. Once we have admired his work art and have enjoyed a break for lunch, we will be ready to take the cable car to “Cerro de Monserrate”, which is the famous hill of the city with a white church on the top (only about 1.5 km from “La Candelaria”). The view is incredible and you can even see on clear days all the way to “Los Nevados”. We will back around 6 pm to the hotel.

DAY 2 BOGOTA-SALENTO

After enjoying a nice breakfast, we will be on a road trip for about 6 hours. You will be admiring the amazing landscapes of Colombia while we enter the coffee area and before arriving to Salento. You will have the rest of the day to explore this little and charming town.

DAY 3 SALENTO

In the morning, we will visit a working coffee farm. The visit includes a 2 hours walking tour through the coffee fields and on-site processing plant with a local guide. The visit finishes with a delicious cup of colombian coffee.

DAY 4 SALENTO-VALLE DE COCORA

In the morning, we will visit a working coffee farm. The visit includes a 2 hours walking tour through the coffee fields and on-site processing plant with a local guide. The visit finishes with a delicious cup of colombian coffee.

DAY 5 SALENTO-ARMENIA

We will be back to the road heading towards “the Botanical Garden of Quindio”, a butterfly in- house place in the shape of a giant butterfly that has over 1.500 of them and more than 50 different species. The road trips of Colombia are a fantastic experience to see beautiful landscapes and to get a feeling of the country. After a visit of around 2 hours, we will leave to go to an old farmhouse to stay the night. You will then have free time to rest in hammocks or to explore the area by driving around (we are happy to guide you on this activity).

DAY 6 ARMENIA-PEREIRA

Our next stop is the Natural Regional Park Ucumari, a great place for nature lovers that is only 30 km away from Pereira and is preserved to maintain the Andean forest. Get ready to do some trekking on the beautiful nature trails, while enjoying waterfalls and probably seeing some of the 180 species of birds in the park.

DAY 7 PEREIRA-TERMALES DE SANTA ROSA-MANIZALES

On the way to Manizales we will stop at the “Termales de Santa Rosa”, thermal springs that are a perfect place to relax and reboot your energy. The 3 waterfalls (the largest is 170 meter high) will make the stop a great experience. The final destination of the day will be Manizales, which is located in the Cauca valley of the Andes mountain range. It is a university city with a good selection of restaurants and bars near the main square, perfect places for taking a break and for drinking an authentic cup of Colombian coffee. Expect busy nightlife during the weekends.

DAY 8 MANIZALES-NATIONAL PARK LOS NEVADOS

On the 8th day of the tour, we will go to the National Park of Los Nevados to do some hiking. The tour includes the entrance to the national park and the thermal baths as well as transport, breakfast and lunch. You will go uphill to see the “Nevado Del Ruiz” up close, a volcano that can be seen from Manizales on a clear day. The hike through the park will be definitely one of the highlights of this tour due to the spectacular views and incredible scenario you will be in.
