A lifetime experience you can´t miss out!

Get ready for a lifetime experience visiting the lungs of planet earth. The mighty Amazon is a must-see destination while you are in Colombia, not only to explore the flora and fauna of the jungle but also to understand the culture of the small communities of the region. We will take a domestic flight to Leticia to stay there for the night. There are some activities to do in this city if you are up for it.

On the second day of the trip, we will travel mainly by boat to discover the amazon rainforest, where you will have the opportunity to see many bird species and the pink river dolphin (if you are lucky) . First, we will take a high-speed boat to Puerto Narino, where we will be staying for 3 days (in a jungle lodge). After lunch, we will take a boat over the river Loretoyacu to get to Lago Tarapoto.

The coming days will be the most exciting and adventurous of the tour. We will be heading to National park Amacayacu, home to over 500 species of birds, 150 mammals and dozens of reptiles. Our activities will include bird-watching, hiking and kayaking. We will also visit the small village of Macedonia that is known for its handicrafts made from tree bark. You will have the opportunity to buy some souvenirs like handmade bags and necklaces. Our visit will have a local guide to enjoy the area by walk during day and night time.

On the way to Leticia you will visit some Amazon tribes like the Marasha and Zacumbu before arriving to Isla de Los Micos (monkey´s island), which is inhabited by Capuchin monkeys. You will then have a deserved free time in the afternoon to rest and spend some time on your own, before enjoying nice dinner together.
